iOS ActiveSync Setup

Setting up ActiveSync (Exchange) for an iOS device
1: Open application Settings on home screen:
2: Click Mails , Contacts, Calendars:
3: Click Add Account:
4: Choose Exchange.
5: Fill in the form with your server address and email account credential

Email: your full email address
Password: password of your email account
Description: you can type anything here

6: If it cannot auto discover server settings, you should fill up the form with server address and username.

NOTE: The domain name is optional for iOS

Remove the default user name the device sets up
Make sure this is your email address and does not contain any slashes or other characters

Your device will attempt to locate the Exchange server.
(optional - In the Remote security administration window, tap OK.)
On the following screens, you can configure several optional settings. Tap Next to move to the final screen and complete the configuration process. The defaults are normally reasonable to accept

Email checking frequencyPush (Automatic) or Every x minutesIf using Automatic or Push, email will be delivered to your device as it comes to your Exchange account and will use more battery power. Choosing an option like Every 15 minutes will help preserve battery.
Period to synch email, calendarE.g., 2 weeksSpecify how many past weeks’ worth of email to be automatically delivered to your device. You can also choose to synch your calendar, contacts, and reminders. We don't recommend more than 4 as it makes your device slow down
Email retrieval sizeE.g., 50KIndicate the maximum email size that will automatically be delivered to your device without having to download the message.

7: Click Save – you are complete
