Setting Up Outlook (IMAP)

Synchronize your email mailbox with Outlook. Your e-mail will be sent to your application in regularly intervals using IMAP.

How to add your e-mail account to Outlook 2016
  1. Click File → Info → Add account.
    The Outlook wizard for setting up a new account will open.
  2. Enter an email address to add your account.
  3. Click Advanced options and check the box for Let me set up my account manually.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Choose the account type IMAP.
    The dialog IMAP Account Settings will open up.
  6. Use the following settings:
    1. Incoming mail: Server    mail.postbox.net.nz  with port 143 and check the option This server requires an encrypted conncetion (SSL/TLS)
    2. Outgoing mail: Server    mail.postbox.net.nz with port 587 and the encryption method This server requires an encrypted conncetion (SSL/TLS)
  7. Click Connect.
    A login dialog will appear.
  8. Enter your e-mail-address and your password, check Save the password in your password list and click OK.
Outlook 2016 will now sync with your mail.com account.
